CPR training video 2009 - Latest Guidelines

Without oxygen being passed from the lungs to the blood stream and then pumped around the body by the heart a person will die. When a person suffers cardiac arrest their heart stops beating, they lose consciousness, they stop breathing, and blood will not circulate. Unless they receive prompt first aid attention until medical or ambulance help arrives they will suffer irreparable brain damage and die within minutes.

This program looks at the technique for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on adults, in accordance with the current resuscitation guidelines. The program covers:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) procedure
  • How to conduct CPR on an adult casualty
  • How to deliver Rescue Breaths
  • How to deliver chest compressions
  • How to use a Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • CPR with two rescuers
  • Rescuer health and hygiene

Binghamton American Shooting Rampage - 13 dead

Our thoughts go out to the families of the victims of this terrible massacre that took place in America over the weekend.

The maniac Jiverly Voong, who shot 13 people dead in a Binghamton immigration center before killing himself was described Friday as an angry loner who loved guns, hated America and talked about assassinating the President.

Please get yourself a copy of the video below. Workplace Security and Violence Awareness talks about identifying potentially violent poeple and profiles, and how to protect your workplace or institution from a tragedy such as this. You can get this video from Please forward this link to others who you think could benefit from training in this area.

In a secret meeting last night at the Copenhagen Congress Center, Denmark, Occupational Health and Safety as an industry, practice, topic and action has been declared exhausted, defunct and will be stopped.

The meeting included heads from the National Safety Council, Worksafe Victoria, Canada Safety Council, NICOHS UK. Meeting chairman Grap Van April said 'In this economic climate the world finds itself in today, it is best that Workplace Safety be left to the gods'. The worldwide OHS councils and organizations in attendance are expected to begin winding up operations over the next week.
