Shocking Worksite!

Anybody trying to use the evacuation siren, first aid kit or fire extinguisher at this worksite could end up requiring emergency assistance themselves. Principal contractors and builders should constantly monitor their sites to ensure the emergency equipment remains readily accessible.

Fatigue in the Workplace DVD

Fatigue is an issue that we can no longer ignore. The reason is that many international research bodies have concluded that being awake for 17 hours or more, have the same affect on the human body as having a 0.05% blood alcohol content.

Feeling tired or drowsy after prolonged mental or physical effort at work is normal. Fatigue, however is more than just feeling tired. Fatigue is an acute and/or chronic state of tiredness that can lead to mental and/or physical exhaustion. Fatigue prevents people from functioning within normal boundaries.

Fatigue is a diffucult issue to manage in the workplace. This is the best DVD on fatigue awareness out right now. To get it CLICK HERE!

EWP Shocker

The Haulotte H16TPX looks to be in a fine state of repair and probably ideal for the job at hand, however the user has clearly decided that either he cannot be bothered to offload the machine, or he needs a little more up and over capability?

As far as we can see the machine is not tied down, and the truck of course has no form of stabilisation. All it needs is for the operator to boom up to full elevation a little quickly – the truck leans and the boom overturns off the side of the vehicle.
